Location to get Passport Renewed

I recently had to renew my American passport in Cebu City as it was with a month or two of expiring. I am now waiting for it to show up. It takes six to eight weeks for it to arrive. I was surprised that they are going to deliver it to me here in Cebu.  It has been about a month since I went to the American Consular office here in Cebu.

Happy Child Playing in Cebu

People have been emailing me and asking how am I doing. I am doing okay but I have been better. I do need to write more and I always plan too but then get distracted by my latest obsession.  That is playing clash of clan. But more about writing about me. I rarely do that. It is rare any article is about me but I always get people leaving comments, usually hateful ones claiming I’m begging or some other nonsense. I really shouldn’t even acknowledge them as they are trolls for the most part. I probably should start beginning and add a GoFund me page. I’ve thought about it for years.

There is Something Itchy in the Chicken

Long ago, in a land far far away, Jessie use to tell me that she was allergic to chicken but only if she ate it too much. That was before I arrived in the Philippines. I’d see her on skype scratching all over and asked her what was going on.

Place to Go in the Philippines – Bohol

Watch Tower in Bohol

There are many places I’d like to go in the Philippines that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to see but I can tell you about them. If you are not here, you may not know about these places at all and you can add them to your list and perhaps to tell me what you saw. I’ll start with places to see in Bohol.

In Bohol, you will find caves, diving, floating restaurants, waterfalls, bicycle riding in the sky, bee farms, old churches, and Spanish built structures from the occupation.

Expat in the Philippines Journal Last Quarter of 2015

Trouble Every Where

This was an anxious period for me. It all started when I went to the ATM to withdraw money to pay my bills and to live on. When I tried, it showed my balance was zero but I had just sent a sizeable amount of money to my Philippines BDO bank account.

Rose Pharmacy in Cebu Philippines

Generally, you can get your medications from Pharmacies in the Philippines. However, some medications are not available here. Your doctor can usually help you find a substitute for most of those things. There may be a few items you just cannot get here. When that is the case, I order my medications from Canada or other foreign country and have those shipped her by Johnny Air Cargo.

There are some other details about pharmacies in the Philippines you might find interesting, sometimes troublesome and sometimes amusing. I probably have written about some of those on this website before but I am not certain.

Men That Hit Women In the Philippines Disgust Me

Pretty Filipina

Men beating women really disgust me and I just saw it happen. Nothing I can do, I can barely breathe and taking a shower causes me extreme pain in my back. I do not talk about how bad my health is in detail but this time it is called for. Someone will stay say I should have jumped in. You are free to think so, free to be critical and I will consider you to be an insensitive moron. It also just would not be smart. Chances are high, I would be the one to end up in jail until I paid they guy off. The girl might lie for him as she is under his control. One of the reasons I got a gun permit when I lived in the USA was for that very reason. I would not last ten seconds in a fight. My heart is enlarged and my lungs are scared from Mixed Connective Tissue disease. I am not what this article is about.

This time it was a couple of Filipino wimps that think they are men. If the only way for you get what you want out of life is with using your fist on a woman, you are no man. I am not sure if you are fully human. I know that you are a weak coward that does not know how to deal with the stress of life and especially the free will of someone physically weaker than you.

Dating in the Philippines

Dating in the Philippines often includes a chaperon, especially on a first date. I don’t like those and it is really a meeting as opposed to a date. At least in my eyes. I avoid them but sometimes it is the only way. I remember one girl told me she might get bored if she did not have a friend there. I passed on that one. I am maybe too picky about who I meet. It isn’t so much about looks but I will admit, if she’s really hot I might put up with more junk to get the ball rolling.  Hot and sweet and I am a sucker for whatever they want haha.

I recently met a nice Filipina named Karen. She’s sweet but a bit too slow to act for me. I took my camera of course so I thought I’d write about it. At first, she said she was going to bring her mother. I thought, oh wow, this will be fun. I will get grilled now. She ended up getting there very late as she fell to sleep and brought her daughter and sister instead. I didn’t take picture of her sister but did of Karen and her child. I think her child’s name is Krystal. She’s adorable.

Cheap Electronics in the Philippines

Filipina with Phone

You can get cheap electronics in the Philippines.  I did just the other day, a Samsung One Note 8 for $75. Don’t get too excited though there is always a “but” and I’ll get to that later in this article. One of the first things you will learn is that electronics are more expensive in the Philippines and if you go to the malls and buy name brand products you’ll pay a lot more for them. I checked the price on a Cannon 7D and found that it would cost me about $1000 more here than it would at Amazon.  There is a five percent tax on imported electronics but that doesn’t explain the excessively high prices here and nor does shipping. After all, most of those products are imported into the USA as well as other Western nations.

Living in the Philippines 2014 Expat Journal

Rusty and Jermain in the Philippines

Living in the Philippines in 2014 with five years behind me now I’m still happy to be here. But the last few months have been difficult. May finally brought the unwelcomed changes I have been dreading for the last couple of years.

A lot has happened in the last few months, some good and some pretty bad. That bad has taken the wind out of me a bit and I didn’t feel like blogging. Another problem is I need to upgrade the server. Each time I post an article the site goes down because it can’t handle the increase in traffic. I have deleted some sites so that will help and I am trying to work with HostGator to get the hosting upgraded
